The STREAMS Foundation is a non-government organization working with communities in the mountain region of Northern Luzon. Through its work, the foundation has accumulated a wealth of experience in transferring know-how in developing simple business systems and capacity enhancement to cottage-level producers. It aims to improve the productivity of micro-enterprises by providing access to various inputs including credit, technology, management, know-how and links with market.

One the largest associations of women homeworkers engaged in livelihood activities, PATAMABA pursues efforts towards common facilities sharing and collective marketing in order to mobilize producers from its membership to respond quickly to trade opportunities. Being a tightly-knit organization, PATAMABA works closely with other networks for exchanging experiences and sharing opportunities to address women’s issues and concerns, such as economic empowerment and the inclusion of marginalized producers in the global economy.

A non-governmental organization, KAKASAHA, aims to help women in the informal sector acquire the means to meet their basic family needs and improve their economic conditions through advocacy of their labor rights, access to opportunities, protection from unfair labor practices, and increase participation in local, national and international planning bodies. It also supports social partnership between community and industry, in the pursuit of national economic development, and helps promote investor-friendly Philippines through actual involvement in the monitoring of labor standards compliance, as well as anti-graft and corruption campaigns.
